Our School

Corringham CE Primary School provides education for children from 4 to 11 years.

Children will normally transfer to this school from  nursery schools from the nearby town of Gainsborough and the surrounding villages.

Our school consists of an original old building with extensions built in 1992 and 2000 which include a conservatory, an Early Years area with access to an outside play area, a library and four classrooms.    There are also two cloakrooms, washing facilities and toilets.  In 2010, an extension has provided us with a dedicated head teachers office, staffroom and a small hall and in 2013 we added a new library/small group room.

Our school is ever growing to meet the needs of our children and make it a fantastic place to learn and so in 2018 we were able to double the size of our hall and create a kitchen area which allowed children totake part in cookery lessons.  In 2020 we installed a play turf to our field so that we could use it all year round and in 2022, we developed the KS1 end of the school to create a new Discovery Zone - a space that encourages creative play.  In 2023, we increased the size of our UKS2 Class and improved the library and most recently, we have extended the school forward to  create a new head teacher office which in turn allowed us to open a brand new SEN room with sensory lighting - place to rest and calm when a child is feeling down or needs a place to reflect.
